Privacy notice
Draft for prelaunch review · October 24, 2026. This summary needs to be reconciled with the app notice and reviewed before public release.
Family Playlist is published by Tiny Tools, operated by Mark Nelson. It helps parents choose the YouTube videos and channels available to their children.
The parent account
We keep your email address, hashed password and parent PIN, family settings, tablet labels, approvals and blocks, and invitations to other adults. These let you sign in and manage your family.
Child profiles and viewing
Child profiles use generated names and fixed icons. We keep profile-linked viewing history and watch time, favorites, personal playlists and their titles, daily allowances, requests, and records of refused navigation. Parents can review viewing activity. Please don’t put personal information in playlist or shelf names.
The player and service providers
Videos play through YouTube’s embedded player. Google and YouTube handle information under their own policies, including information received when the player connects to their service. We use Fly.io, Neon and Cloudflare for hosting and infrastructure, and Resend for account email.
Buying the app
The Amazon app checks its license when a parent creates a new family. We record the signup store and acceptance time. The store handles payment. Joining an existing family through an adult invitation does not require another purchase.
This website
This static website has no analytics, tracking scripts or forms. Fonts and images are served with the site. Our hosting provider processes requests to deliver and protect it.
Retention and deletion
The current service baseline is 90 days for watch history, daily watch-time records and refused-navigation records, and 30 days for answered requests and used invitations. Account deletion stops tablet access immediately, with permanent deletion scheduled within 30 days. Operational logs, email records and recovery data have separate retention periods. The final notice must describe those periods and any applicable exceptions.
Questions or requests
You can delete your account from Family settings. For help accessing or deleting data, email support@tiny-tools.net.
